Stuffo ("the app") is a manual cash-envelope budgeting app. This policy explains what data the app handles. The short version: your budget stays on your device unless you choose to export or back it up. Stuffo has no account, no server, and no bank connection.
What we collect
Nothing. Stuffo does not collect, transmit, or share any personal or financial information. We have no servers and no analytics.
All data you enter — envelope names, budgets, income, and the spending you log — is stored only on your device, in the app's local database. We never see it and it never leaves your phone unless you choose to back it up yourself (for example, through your own device or Google account backup, which is governed by Google's policies, not ours).
No bank connection
Stuffo is 100% manual by design. It does not link to your bank, does not use Plaid or any aggregator, does not access your accounts, and does not move money. Every figure in the app is one you typed in yourself.
No accounts
Stuffo has no sign-up and no login. You do not give us a name, email, or phone number to use the app.
Purchases
If Stuffo offers a paid one-time unlock, the purchase is processed by Google Play. We never receive your payment-card details — Google handles billing and only tells the app whether the unlock was purchased. See Google Play's privacy policy for how Google processes that transaction.
Children
Stuffo is a general-audience budgeting tool and is not directed at children under 13. Because we collect no data at all, we do not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Permissions
Stuffo does not request contacts, location, camera, or SMS access. On Android, notification permission is requested only when you enable the optional weekly payday reminder. Reminders are scheduled on your device and contain no amounts, payees or envelope names. You can turn them off in Settings. Android may delay reminders to save battery.
Backups you choose to save
You can save and restore a Stuffo backup through your device's document picker. The file contains envelope and transaction details in readable JSON, including archived records and undone transaction records. It is not encrypted by Stuffo. Only choose a location you trust. If you select a cloud-storage provider in the picker, that provider may upload the file under its own policies. Stuffo itself has no backup server and does not send the file to us. Backups contain your budget, not notification or onboarding preferences.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
